Jason LillmarsJason Lillmars is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He holds several professional credentials, including being a licensed CPA and a Personal Financial Specialist through the AICPA. He obtained his Masters Degree in Business Administration and Masters in the Science of Accounting from Grand Valley State University. Prior to his current role as owner of the firm, he gained several years of relevant work experience, including a role as Corporate Financial Controller for a large company within the construction subcontractor supply industry, several years working as both a CPA and financial advisor and also owning various businesses throughout the West Michigan area. His background allows him to develop comprehensive tax-smart strategies that are of significant value in helping individuals and businesses reach their financial goals.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design), and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Hannah Sanford

Hannah has been a valued member of our team for several years and works primarily out of our Grand Haven office location. She has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Baker College. Her education and considerable practical experience in accounting and tax matters allow her to help our business clients achieve their financial and tax goals. Hannah also works to oversee the work and development of others within the accounting and tax team.

Alex Viviano, CPA

Alex Viviano brings both technical expertise and a genuine passion for people to his role on our professional services team. A CPA and graduate of Central Michigan University, Alex supports clients across a range of industries, such as auto shops, construction subcontractors, health & wellness organizations, among others, within the areas with bookkeeping, tax and strategic insights tailored to their goals.

Before joining the world of public accounting, Alex built experience in diverse environments, including large-scale manufacturing, a local rehabilitation hospital, and a charter school management company. That variety helps him connect with clients from all backgrounds — and makes him a trusted partner when it comes to understanding not just the numbers, but the story behind them.

Alex especially enjoys working one-on-one with small business owners to help them interpret their financials beyond just net income. He believes in using accounting as a tool for strategy and long-term growth — and takes pride in helping members of his community build sustainable success.

Originally from the Grand Rapids area, Alex recently settled back in town with his fiancée and their two dogs. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him camping somewhere in Michigan or cheering on his favorite college football team — preferably in person at a Notre Dame game.


Melissa Scholten

Melissa brings several years of experience as an Administrative Manager, along with a Bachelor’s degree, in addition to a strong foundation working within tax and accounting firms. Her extensive background enables her to support both our clients and internal team effectively, ensuring smooth, day-to-day operations in the areas of accounting and tax.

Known for her commitment to high-quality service and exceptional attention to detail, Melissa is an invaluable member of our team. She works primarily out of our Wyoming office. She consistently goes above and beyond with a warm, client-focused approach, assisting with a wide range of responsibilities including payroll, human resources, accounts receivable, and various administrative tasks.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family—her son, daughter, and two beloved boxer pups. She loves to travel, relax on her deck during the summer, and unwind with a great book.


Denise Bobeldyk, CPP

Denise brings over 25 years of professional payroll experience to our team. She has proven experience in managing complex payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining our firm, she gained experience working within CPA firms and for large private employers.


Nathan Kalmink

Nathan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2021. Prior to joining our firm, Nathan gained experience in both private and public accounting. He works with our clients in the areas of accounting & tax. He has considerable experience working with QuickBooks Online.

Jennifer is a key member of our administration team and loves helping clients with questions when they call or stop by our Grand Rapids office location. She also handles a lot of our client interaction on our secure online client portal.
